Back in February we spoke about donor retention and loyalty.  Today I came across a video which covers the same topic.

This is a recording of a webinar run by Bloomerang which is a fundraising software company. The webinar is called “Everything You Need to Know About Creating and Retaining Donor Relationships.”

Some of the key statistics that are mentioned are quite challenging.

Bloomerang has found that the donor retention rate has dropped over the last few years from 60%  to 41%

About 75% of all the money that’s given comes from individuals.

If you look statistically we see that you can lose up to 35% of your donors every year. 

In three years you will lose all your donors if you don’t have a strategy in place to retain them.

The video goes for one hour but if you are struggling with donor retention it will help you clarify the key issues you need to address.
