Does this sound familiar? There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done. You leave work with a full inbox and to-do list, and by the end of the next work day, more things are added to the list. It is a continuous cycle of demands which can be quite stressful.
Thankfully technology is at hand by way of these helpful tools. Each one offers unique time-saving abilities allowing you to refocus and de-stress. In fact, we love them all so much, it is hard to choose our favourite.
Slack
Slack is, in their words, a ‘digital workspace that powers your organisation — all the pieces and the people — so you can get things done.” It can limit the need for masses of emails or even reduce the number of boring meetings you have to attend. Even better, they offer a free version for nonprofits, aptly called Slack for Nonprofits. And if you wish to upgrade to their Plus plan, they offer an 85% discount.
Buffer
Buffer allows you to control all of your social media accounts in one easy to follow dashboard interface. Post your Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook posts and track the results in real-time. Like Slack, they too offer a discount for nonprofits. Just send them a copy of your nonprofit status, and they will take 50% off the plan of your choice.
Crazy Egg
Crazy Egg is an application which produces heat map and scroll map reports so you can see exactly where your visitors are coming from. You can see at a glance where they click and scroll giving you a competitive advantage over your content. To get you started, Crazy Egg are offering a free 30-day examination of their software. If after 30 days, you are not suitably impressed you can cancel and pay nothing.
Admin Bandit
Admin Bandit is a volunteer treasurer’s best friend. At the press of a button you can see the money in the bank, receipts and expenditure, equipment you’ve purchased, petty cash, invoices sent out remaining unpaid, member numbers and fees paid, and more. You can also produce a range of other reports to suit your needs including detailed event and equipment reports, end of year reports for the auditor and member details reports. You can even sign up for their 55-day free trial here! What’s not to love?
