pexels-photo-450035Apps and other tools make it easier for nonprofits to complete a host of activities, from raising awareness about their cause to increasing their NFP’s productivity. Some of the best are free to use.

One such program is MeetUp, a social networking app that we previously discussed in our article, 5 Free Resources Every NFP Should be Using.

It’s been a few months since this article was originally posted. Now, there are even more great tools that NFPs can use to simplify their workspace and increase their reach. Since it’s hard to ever have too much of a good thing, I am sharing this list of five additional resources that you can use to improve your messaging, increase your effectiveness and reclaim more of your most valuable resource: your time!

Trello

This app brings the tried and true “To-Do List” into the modern age. It makes it easy for you to create lists, set deadlines, assign work from your list to others, and invite members of your team to collaborate and create lists of their own. If you want to get more accomplished during your days, and, help your team stay on track, this free tool is an absolute must to improve communication, cooperation and productivity!

Evan’s Awesome A/B Testing Tools

The easiest, sure-fire way to check your messages to make sure they are on point is through testing. But, who has time to hand-calculate statistics, so you can objectively analyse your results? This site has the tools that you need to complete tasks such as checking your sample size and taking other steps to improve your tests and tweak your approach so that you can improve your results!

Aviary

Editing images can be such a tedious task. This app simplifies the process, allowing you to make adjustments to your photos directly in your browser!

Imprint

The images that we use on our websites, social media and messaging can make or break our campaigns, but photos are not the only images that can help you tell your nonprofit’s stories. Infographics and videos are also great ways to share information and connect with your supporters. Videos, in particular, can create significant impact, but, they are typically difficult to put together. This is especially true when you are working with mixed media and trying to compile visual imagery from multiple sources, such as still shots, moving video and even memes. Imprint simplifies the process and makes it easier than ever to create videos that tell your story and express your gratitude to donors, volunteers and other supporters.

Headspace

Feeling stressed out and completely frazzled and your day’s just getting started? This free app will help you relax, decompress and regain your peace with quick and easy guided meditation sessions and hundreds of different topics and themes!
