As a not for profit, did you know you may be eligible for free software to help run your organisation? It is worth having a look at the website for Connecting Up who are a not for profit organisation that supports the not for profit sector by providing a number of products, services, information and resources. Many of these products and services are provided as a donation or at a significant discount.
Some of the organisations that provide this software and support include Microsoft, Cisco, Symantec and Adobe. The main criteria are that you have an Australian Business Number, income tax exempt and a non-government organisation based in Australia. Other criteria can include the amount of annual turnover, being a registered charity and the type of sector you are in. For more details on the eligibility criteria for each partner organisation follow the link.
In addition, the Learning Centre section has some great resources and information to assist you as well as inform you to improve the operations of your organisation. For example, some of the areas covered included social media, marketing, cloud computing, mobile technology and fundraising.
Another great feature is that you can register your organisation for free and this allows you to be connected with other not for profit and charitable organisations. This not only provides a valuable resource for the registered organisations but also for the general public, donors, the government, businesses and other stakeholders who will see the value in maintaining and providing ongoing support for the not for profit sector.
Spend a bit of time looking through the Connecting Up website as they have a number of other resources that may be of use to you and your organisation.

Thanks for your support, Anne! We do charge a small admin fee for processing the donation software (just to keep the program running), but it’s still a fantastic way for organisations to access software they may not normally be able to afford or to allocate their IT resources elsewhere.
Thanks again!
