The Women’s Leadership Institute Australia (WLIA) is offering 25 $1,000 scholarships for women towards the Diploma of Business (Governance), Australia’s only accredited qualification for not-for-profit governance. The WLIA has great intentions to achieve gender-balanced representations within Australia and understand women’s capabilities, particularly in terms of leadership roles.
Scholarships are awarded on merit and applicants will, in all likelihood, be able to demonstrate their greater impact on the community. Delivered by the Institute of Community Directors Australia in alliance with Federation Training, the Diploma of Business (Governance) will ensure that not-for-profits are taken seriously on all levels. When applying for the grant, applicants must be able to demonstrate their passion for their community, their suitability for completing the diploma and their reasoning behind wanting to improve their governance skills.
Successful scholarship applicants will receive, not only a reduced enrollment fee of $3,495 (including GST), but also an iPad mini, pre-loaded with course materials, a membership of the Institute of Community Directors Australia and access to their extensive suite of online governance resources.
Once the diploma is completed, applicants must be committed to transferring their knowledge to the not-for-profit sector.
