Imagine how good it would be to be flooded with funds coming in after something as powerful as the ice bucket challenge.  Your club or charity would feel as though it was set for life.

Ah, if only everything was that easy.

Funds have a way of disappearing without notice, especially if you don’t have the Admin Bandit accounting software in place. A recent article in the Fundraising Newsletter made the point very well and suggested a few ways to make your money last.

    • Look for donors or sponsors who are prepared to pay for some of your regular costs.  This will save you much in the long run and it’s easy for someone to set up a regular payment of a set amount from their bank account to cover a bill.
    • Move large sums of money from your regular bank account into an account that will bring you a higher return.
    • We all need a nest egg in case of emergencies and your club or charity is no different.  Try to save some money for a rainy day.
    • Keep an eye on your expenditure, particularly with expense claims.  They might look like small amounts, but they add up.  Keep them under tight rein by seeking pre-approval of amounts over a certain level.
    • Use Admin Bandit accounting software to help you monitor your accounts.  You will be able to see income an expenditure, and track your finances easily.
