Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World Better Business Round

This organisation currently has two grant programs, one of which is an initiative to encourage small to medium-sized businesses to help solve some of our most complex and troubling social issues. The deadline to apply for this Better Business Round grant is August 19^th.

The $15,000 grant will be awarded to one winning business. To qualify for entry, NFPs must be registered and operate in Australia, have less than 200 total employees, and must use the proceeds of the grant to address a social issue or problem in Australia within the next 12 months.

For example, if your business sells products online, to customers all over the world, but, you would use the funding to improve your community in some way, your dream would still qualify for the grant. Some ideas for projects include offering employment to the homeless or otherwise disadvantaged, finding ways to increase opportunities for the mentally ill or developmentally disabled, or even building an improvement that benefits your local community in some way!

Finalists will be announced on October 31^st, with the winner announced in December at the Grand Final.

Applications for the Active Community Round Also Close Soon

In addition to the Better Business Round, Sunsuper is also accepting applications for its third round of funding for community grants for this year. The theme of this round is improving the health and fitness of Australians.

If your NFP has a project or plan that seeks to encourage Australians to be more active, that tackles health issues that most Australians face, or if your mission is centered on wellness initiatives that improve the lives of Australians, then you could win up to $50,000 in grant funding to advance health and wellness in your community!

In addition to sharing your dream of how your organisation can improve the lives of Australians, your organisation can also upload photos and videos to better illustrate the need you wish to address as well as show the impact that you can make! The community grant round also includes a people’s choice award, so if your dream makes it to the final round, you will want to encourage others to vote in support of your entry to improve your chances of winning!
