As an NFP or charity, you want to be able to improve your social media so you can use it effectively. You want to be able to recruit volunteers, retain their interest and engage with your readers on a variety of different levels.
Sometimes it is difficult because you just can’t find the time or perhaps you are posting on a regular basis but are you just not seeing the engagement you would like.
Well help is at hand. On Thursday 27 April in Sydney, Mel Kettle will open up on the subject of how to use social media to effectively recruit, retain and engage with members in a one-off workshop. As a social media guru and communication expert, with over 20 years of professional experience, Mel will show you how to effectively use social media in just 30 minutes a day.
In the workshop she will elaborate on which channels you should be using and how to create and leverage content so that your members are getting great value out of their membership.
What will I learn in the social media workshop?
In the course, Mel will also show you:
- how to be heard by your market and connect with your members so they understand the value of your association
- strategies to communicate effectively with millennials
- why social media is not designed as a sales tool, but is instead intended to build trust and authority
- how to effectively use social media in 30 minutes a day
- how to mitigate your social media risk
- why you need a social media policy and how to write one that works.
You can register for the workshop here, and what’s more, if you sign up before the end of March, early bird rates apply. A concessional rate of $99 is also available for small charities and other non-profit organisations with a turnover of under $200,000.
Social media should be at the heart of every NFP or charity as it is a cost-effective way to widen your reach and increase your ability to make change.
