There are some amazing apps and tools out there on the web but often we only find them by accident.  Recently I found some great tools which will make it a lot easier to get your message out so today I am sharing them with you.

1.  Wibbitz

This is such a great idea.  Now that we are such a mobile device dependant world people love to get their information in quick chunks rather than long blocks of text. Wibbitz technology brings stories to life by automatically transforming text-based articles into short videos optimized for a mobile screen. Designed and configured to be blazing fast for smartphone consumption, the resulting videos are typically between 60-120 seconds, and include natural voice narration.

This app is available for iPhone and all the viewer needs to do is to click the Wibbitz Play button on a website and the app takes care of the rest.

2.  Vine.

Vine app

Vine is an app which is available for iPhone and Android phones.  It is a Twitter tool which allows you to create short 6 second video, recorded through Vine’s in-app camera. The video can then be shared or embedded on social networking services such as Twitter.  The video autoplays over and over until the viewer is finished with it.

3. UStream TV

The Ustream site says “Ustream was originally created to connect military service members to family and friends across the world. Since then, the company has established itself as a socially fueled video platform for broadcasters of any size to easily reach an infinite audience and share experiences in real-time. Our mission is to empower anyone around the world to reach new audiences through the power of live experiences.”

The brilliance of Ustream is that it allows you to engage with followers in real time and it can be done from anywhere that has a webcam and an internet connection. Take your iPad or mobile phone and film the people your not-for-profit is there to help. Can you imagine the impact such a real and live video would have?
